Ardchattan Parish Church

Student Minister

Added on 22 December 2012

We are lucky to have a student Minister with us for several months. Janet has kindly agreed to introduce herself to us, and we will ask her to contribute again to these pages.

Hi, my name is Janet Easton-Berry and this is my second placement within the Church of Scotland and I am really pleased to be here.  Thank you to everyone for being so warm and welcoming.  A little bit of background about myself – I was born in South Africa and have lived in the UK for 13 years now.  I really believe it is the right place for me and I love Scotland!  I have had much spiritual growth since being in the UK and am so overawed, humbled and blessed with being on this journey of training to be a Minister.  I am so passionate about my faith and totally amazed by God’s wonderful grace!!!   It truly is amazing grace!  Prior to training for the ministry I was a social worker and prior to this I worked at a children’s home and different game reserves in South Africa.  I love the countryside, walking and sometimes riding my bicycle though I don’t do this often enough!  I really look forward to getting to know the congregation better and learning more about the wonderful churches in Benderloch and Ardchattan.

Welcome Janet, it is privilege to have you with us! We hope you feel at home, despite our weather!
