Greetings from Switzerland
Added on 05 January 2017
We received this email and photos from a couple who were travelling in Scotland in July. After the service (which they missed) they had a look in the church and shared tea and biscuits with us. They were on their way to Gretna to renew their marriage vows...
"Dear new friends: 7-14 we met at St.Modan's Church. We were on a sightseeing trip across Scotland and curious to have a look at your little church, and your welcome indeed was very charming. After 2 weeks we came home with thousands of pictures and memories. One happy day we found the 'lost' paper with your email address allowing further contact...
We are: Margrith & Markus Siegrist-Scheidegger.
Now we are 78 years old and have two grown up sons and two grandchildren.
We live in a single family house in the county near Zurich and his lake, with beautiful sight to the montains (pictures promised for later). Our main business except still sustaining our sons is working in house and garden.
We wish you all and your families very very merry Christmas and all good things in world and life for New Year!!!
With greetings and embraces
Margrith & Markus
P.S. 7-14 we were in Gretna Green, each of us 77, renewing our 55 years old matrimony for the next 55 years..."
