Children’s activities

St. Modan's church runs a weekly Sunday School as required. Children start the service in church sitting with their parents and friends. Normally after the third item of praise the children move to a separate room for All Stars Sunday School.

St. Modan's 'All Stars' Sunday School is held in the Campbell Memorial Hall (found at the back of the church) and currently uses Roots teaching resource which follows the weekly lectionary. All Stars comprises two age groups. The junior section welcomes babies up to Primary 4, and the senior section for Primary 5 upwards.

At present all ages meet together here and they are using Kidzone resource at present.

There is a great sense of fellowship and fun within All Stars. The two Sunday Schools meet together when there are joint services (every 4th Sunday), also at celebration times such as the Christmas party, the summer picnic, the harvest service, soup lunches and of course the Easter and October Holiday Clubs.

We aim to engage all ages of children with a variety of activities such as games, crafts, dramas, discussion, eating, singing and prayer.

Holiday Clubs

The church has been running Holiday Clubs for many years. They are hugely popular with children from our own parish and further afield.
The club runs for two hours every morning for the first week of the Easter and October school holidays with activities comprising singing, games, quizzes, challenges, stories, videos and Simon the Duck. We welcome all children aged three years and up.

All the youth workers have many years experience and are all disclosed under Disclosure Scotland.

Our older young people have been enjoying Impact over the month of November.
